(lead guitarist and vocals) has been rocking since the early 80's. Originally from the Chicago area, Jay has toured through out the Midwest and Southern states with various bands. He brings with him experience of on the road life to the band, which makes things interesting at times. Jay has been the guitarist for some other local Sonoma County bands such as Mirage and Scatterbrains. Jay's musical background includes being sort of self-taught and late night episodes of "Where Are They Now?" on VH1. Some of his favorite classic rock band and musicians are Led Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, Joe Rizzo & Jimi Hendrix. Jay is very eclectic in his current choice of contemporary artists such as Pearl Jam, Godsmack, Lenny Kravitz and Metallica. Jay feels very honored and privileged to be involved with CounterBalance. He hopes that his contributions to the band helps support the bands continued growth and success. Jay resides in Santa Rosa where he lives with his wife Cheri and two sons Adrian and Julian.
