Counterbalance  Plus -

Welcome back again to the FULCRUM.    The Fulcrum.   What is it?   Why is it?  Is there anybody out there?   Does anybody besides Alan look at this?   Just for kicks, let’s try it out.  If you actually read this, go to our message board and leave a quick hello, or rock on, or screw you or something.   Anything.   Just curious y’know…….

     Well, it was another quick summer, huh?   Obviously we took some time off the circuit to tend to more domestic affairs.   Jay found a new home, Alan landscaped his, Carlton went camping, Mark B. went to boot camp, and Mark O.was just plain campy.   Actually I think he went into hibernation.   Leave it Mark to hibernate during the summer……

            Let’s see – we did start the summer out with the party at the Marina at Lake Sonoma.   That was fun.   We had sort of a battle of the bands – it was us on the green versus the 80’s cheese pop played by the boats on the lake…..HAHA.    Nothing like the summer to bring out that skin, baby.   Lots of nice tans in the making.

     Moving ahead to the Fall season, the band set foot on stage at the Mystic Theater again, this time opening for Thin Lizzy.   Great sound.   Man, those guys sounded good.   Wow, what a sound.   Well I hope we sounded good.   I doubt we sounded as good as Thin Lizzy sounded because the sound guys only gave us 3 minutes to their 30 to do a sound check.   I think we sounded all right.   How’s that sound?   Sound OK?   Cool……..

            CounterBalance also tested the waters in Novato at a newer club called Mancuso’s.   Man, what a lonely town.   All I can think of is some lone wolf atop a mountain side howling at the moon.    You say Mancuso’s – I hear Bowwwoooooooo…….It’s a nice place, though.   It would be nice to play there again and see more of our CB fans, old and new.   So check out the “ShowDates” page for upcoming Mancuso’s (Aooowwooooo) gigs (hint, hint, hint).

      As the autumn season continues to roll along, the band keeps rockin at their favorite spot Spancky’s, which there’s always a good time to be had by all.   Most recently, Halloween was a blast.   Gypsies, tramps, and thieves.   Lots of furry kitties and little devils – You’ve been a bad girl!

            We’d like to thank you, our fans, for keeping CounterBalance ALIVE.   We look forward to bringing you new stuff, more of the good stuff – let’s just say we GET stuffed.
